Jim Tunnessen is the Chief of Digital Innovation and Development for the US Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS). He joined USCIS in 2013 after a 2 year stint at US General Services Administration working on implementing cloud services across the agency. During that time he has successfully changed organizational processes and cultures to implement agile management and agile development practices, DevOps, the use of opensource technologies, continuous integration, and continuous delivery for software development. He is a former US Army officer and US Marine with some senior executive corporate experience mixed in.
