Hugh is a UX designer and thought leader with extensive experience in a wide variety of industries and product types. He has a strong track record creating innovative designs through user research, needs analysis, ideation and iteration, and of guiding teams through these activities.Hugh is also an innovator in the area of Agile Development, working with agile teams since 2004. He wrote one of the first papers on integrating UX techniques with agile in 2004, and has published a book on user-centered agile methods. Highlights: UX Architect at Cohealo, a startup providing promotes collaboration in health care systems to improve equipment utilization, working as part of an Agile team. Co-founder and CTO of InContext, a user-centered design firm that designed products with industry leaders around the world for 22 years. Co-author of "Contextual Design: Defining Customer-Centered Systems," published in 1997, still a standard text for HCI degree programs Presented on Contextual Design and Agile since 1992, including the Computer Human Interaction (CHI) and Agile Universe conferences. Taught, led, guided, and participated in cross-company teams doing user research and design with clients across a wide range of industries, including GM, Cisco, Microsoft, SAP, State Farm, Novell, Nokia, and more.
